Katie Peterson is the author of This One Tree (2006), winner of the New Issues
Poetry Prize. Her poems and reviews have appeared in the American Poetry Review, the
Boston Review, the Chicago Tribune, Gulf Coast, and
other publications. She holds a doctorate in English and American Literature
and Language from Harvard University, and she has held teaching positions at
Deep Springs College and Bennington College. The recipient of fellowships from
the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced
Study, the Bread Loaf Writers Conference, and Yaddo, Peterson is currently
Professor of the Practice of Poetry at Tufts University. She was born in
California and lives in Somerville, Massachusetts.
