            for the housewarming
which turns sloppy 
            then brilliant.  
To the backyard willows!  
            Empty wine bottles
tied to branches.  Translucent 
            and bronze blossoms 
clinking in the wind. 
            Rich says we’re growing 
fresh mangos. Jack says
            it’s moonlight, moonlight 
smuggled down to earth. 
            Mary says an orchard 
of chandeliers, a ceiling 
            of ribbon and glass.
